I'm having a bit of difficulty relating to people lately. My ever-present paranoia bubbling under doesn't help, but still...
Am I the only person who has the urge to just fuck off and be alone? And I don't mean "close my bedroom door and turn the music up" alone, I mean "just walk out the door and not have any contact with humanity for a few weeks" alone.
I am, agin, losing my sense of self. Who I am, what I do, what I like, is all being lost, swept away by the ever rising tide of other peoples wants/needs/likes/emotions. I know I lack the courage to tell these people to back off and give me room to breathe, so I want the easy option: escape.
But hey, fuck all this depressing nonsense! Tits, eh! Lovely things, all round and soft and whatnot. Except for those surgically enhanced things. Honestly, people just can't leave well enough alone, can they? I hope that God is going to have words with all those Plastic Sturgeons. Send 'em to Hell where demons will cut bits of silicon rocks out of their arses and implant them in their balls, or something. Or clits, if they're lady sturgeons. I don't know if there is any of them, but I'd imagine so. You never seem 'em on Casualty, do you? No. Don't know if that's because they're too ashamed or if we Brits are just too damned smart and sexy and stuff to bother with any of that nonsense.
But, my child (yes, you, not the one next to you who's always picking his nose) we are meant for better things. Expand your mind, as the prophets say. Be yourselves! Like myself, I yearn to create art, such glorious pieces of crap such as you would be horrified by! But it has been too long, and I fear the true art-i-ness of my soul is submerged. I suffer from a lack of exposure to all the glorious, wonderful, maddening thinking that is going on in the world. I need that fizzing feeling in my brain when thoughts are percolating, and plans are being hatched with co-conspiritors and a pint or four goes a long way to making the world make more sense.
Sometimes I am ashamed by what I like like. Sometimes I worry about what the ever-present and etherial "others" will think of me, and hope that they won't poke me with the big pointy sticks of ridicule that they carry. And then sometimes I just want to scream "FUCK YOU 'OTHERS'! THIS IS MY LIFE! I WILL LIKE WHAT I LIKE, DAMN YOU ALL TO HADES WITH ALL THE SILICON SCROTED SURGEONS THAT GOD HAS FORSAKEN!"
The old ladies at bus stops do tend to look at me funny when that happens, mind you. I suspect them of being "Others". It's hard, because they tell me things at times, things of wisdom.
You shouldn't confuse the Old Ladies with Prophets Of Doom, whom are far more dangerous, because they smell of Truth. Truth that smells like beer. And they will touch you, and tell you things that a normal mind should not know of. Things about the mythical gods G!ggs and Roo'ney, and how they are to blame for the ills of England, or some such. But as a Scot, I care not for these words. And as an artist, nay, intelligent human being, I have no interest in this Fubal that they preach.
On a positive note, who else is looking forward to meeting up in Brum? It seems a bit low-key this time around. Has Club AC stolen our thunder? It wouldn't surprise me, as from what I hear, this AC is full of naked flesh and wobbly bits on display, and I don't think we can promise that in a cold September evening in the Midlands. Not unless I get very drunk anyways...

I'm very excited to announce that my stage show is once again taking bookings!
Turns out I missed it so damn much I decided that it need a place once more in my life ... the act consists of traditional burlesque mixed with LOTS of gore and special FX. There are plans to expand the show with an additional person who I don't want to name yet BUT the thought of merging our two acts makes me get up in the morning with a new lust for life! This is going to be seven kinds of epic and should start taking shape at the end of this month. (!!!)

In other news ... The film RATLINE (that I've been going about for awhile) is drawing to close with its edit. The director, Eric Stanze, just let me watch the ending and I'm SO happy with it!!! This might be the greatest film project I've ever had my name attached to and I can't wait to share it with everyone :)
After last cut is made we'll start looking into distributor options ....
I've got a Botticelli backpiece on the go at the moment - I got it because I was doing a report on Botticelli for Art when I was 13 and I came across a detail from Madonna and the Five Angels and it literally took my breath away. It was the first time I'd been blown away by pure beauty and I knew I wanted to retain that. Wow, a great big thank you to everyone who contributed to Pandora's Box this year. It was a fantastic success with Art Burlesque Fetish and Fashion. Next year the venue has been booked for the first of May. We have 8 months to make Pandora's Box 2011 bigger, sexier and more fun.
We intend for pandora's Box of Fetish & Burlesque to become the South Coasts leading festival of Erotica, celebrating Sex and Sensuality through Burlesque, Fetish, Fashion and Art.
We are very keen to listen to ways we can improve what we offer and for any ideas of things you might want to see at an all day event like this.
Let's see, I'm a loud-mouthed nut-monkey/crazy cow as my friends say. Fairly hyperactive the majority of the time and well, good luck getting me to shut up most of the time. :3 I'm a music, art, anime freak! So it's official ... I'm moving to the South and leaving the Midwest of America behind! Today I am knee deep in looking house, which is never a fun process but it all seems to be coming together. I'm very excited about this change!
I'll be relocating to Austin,TX (as former blogs would indicate) and I'll be able to expand on everything I do out there! Film making, modeling, hair/makeup, and even my performance art and stage shows will all flourish ... and this makes me a very happy girl. I think even my dog will be happier in Austin <3
And it seems when one good thing starts to happen, lots of other things start popping up too. It's as if the universe saves everything up and then unleashes it on you all at once! I can say that for every not so great thing ... five good things counter it. So the averages are in my favor at the moment. Still, I've been taking deep breaths and remembering to sleep.
Life truly is what you make it ... and I always aim to make my life (and my loved ones lives) amazing.
